The Celtic Heartland Radio Show ran from January 2, 2003, through September, 2007. It was heard each Thursday evening on KZUM Community Radio, Lincoln, NE, and was the first radio show in Nebraska dedicated solely to the Celtic music genre.
It was created, produced, and hosted by Barb Biffle, using her maternal grandmother's more Celtic sounding name of Grace McKinley. The hour long show was streamed world-wide, and featured in-studio and phone interviews with a variety of musicians, as well as recorded music from the seven Celtic nations.
It had a strong internet listener base, with some folks from as far away as England, Ireland and Spain. In fact, one fellow in Barcelona contacted Barb to dedicate a song to his friend who was attending the University of Nebraska!
