Welcome

These weekly music videos are made for anyone and everyone.

Enjoy and share as you like.

But especially, these are for our friends...the residents and staff at retirement, assisted living, memory care, and rehab facilities where we play and visit.

We miss playing for you, but mostly,

WE MISS SEEING YOUR SMILING FACES!

# 8 Jack Moose Sessions ~ May 15, 2020

It's been cold and dreary here most of the week, so I've delved into my old songs for today's setlist, and Jack Moose and I hope to liven things up a bit for you!

Let's have some harmonies here!

5 songs - 20 minutes

- Yankee Doodle
- Drill Ye Tarriers, Drill
- Red River Valley
- Molly Malone (In Dublin's Fair City)
- Lewiston Factory Girl

# 7 Jack Moose Sessions ~ May 7, 2020

To me, Music is Magic, so I hope you enjoy the "magical" appearance in the first second of this video. LOL

Are you ready to sing, clap, stomp your feet, hoot and holler and have a good time?  Well, you are in the right place. Let's go!

5 songs today - a little under 20 minutes

- Polly Wolly Doodle
- Five Foot Two
- Git Along Little Dogies
- Billy Boy
- Old Dan Tucker

# 6 The TILTED Jack Moose Sessions ~ May 1, 2020

I would love for you to believe that I intentionally used the camera technique called "Dutch Angle", like in the old 1949 film noir, "The Third Man"...you know, that's where the camera is canted just a bit to make you feel a wee bit off balance.

But the truth is that I used a different holder for my smart phone. I tested it twice, and it and it looked fine, but somehow it shifted slightly off kilter after I'd set it and started to video in earnest.

So, you know what...after looking at it, I left it that way. Why?

I left it in because in a review of that 1949 camera technique it said, "...the style evokes the atmosphere of an exhausted, cynical post-war Vienna at the start of the Cold War." And it did!

So, extrapolating that to 2020...My camera style of Session #6 must therefore evoke the atmosphere of an exhausted, cynical, post-healthy America at the start of the Coronavirus War. Works for me.

6 songs - 26 minutes

- The Ballad of Buddy the Cat  (Original by Barb)
- Go Tell Aunt Rhody
- Froggy Went a Courtin'
- The Pesky Serpent
- The Drunkard and the Pig
- Why Can't I Put My Smartphone Down  (Lyrics by Barb, set to a tune by Levon Helm)

Photos for #6 Session ~ May 1, 2020

Photo of Buddy the Cat, the subject of the first song, and photo of me wearing the same hat that I have on in the music video.

# 5 Jack Moose Sessions ~ April 24, 2020

I'm calling this the "Headless Jack Moose Session".

That's because a little way in, he decided to stretch out with his head out of the camera shot. But his body is there, and you just know his head is attached at the correct end. Use your imagination!

Enjoy, and don't forget to sing along. Let's hear some harmonies!

PS don't worry about the cough...it's allergy season!

5 songs - 22 minutes

- Oh, My Darling Clementine
- Hush Little Baby
- Little Brown Jug
- Colonoscopy Song (original by Barb)
- Swing Low, Sweet Chariot

# 4 Jack Moose Sessions ~ April 17, 2020

Screw up your courage and sing along or stomp your feet and clap.

Release your inner child.

6 songs - 19 minutes

- April Showers
- Buffalo Gal
- Oh Susanna
- The Potato Song
- Silly Medley
- There is No Place Like Nebraska (pre Virtual Spring Game)

# 3b Jack Moose Sessions (2 of 2) ~ April 11, 2020

Hooray! We got Jack Moose back in the picture.

Part B - 3 songs - 9 minutes

- I've Been Working on the Railroad
- I'm in Love With a Big Blue Frog
- Here Comes Peter Cottontail

# 3a Jack Moose Sessions (1 of 2) ~ April 11, 2020

NOTE: Two Videos for this Week - Jack Moose took a hiatus midway through, so I had to edit out that 2 minute wait, and it was easier to just divide up the video rather than learn my new video editing software "on the fly". Sigh.

And yes, we brought out the Nose Flute today!!! Woohoo! Now gather round and sing along!

Part A - 3 Songs - 11 minutes

- My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean
- A Little Bit More
- All Through the Night

# 2 Jack Moose Sessions ~ April 3, 2020

Disclaimer: Until I watched the video I had no idea Jack Moose had misinterpreted his job as my "sidekick". He thought I said "side lick", apparently, and thus he has made the fourth song...how shall I say...slightly "R" rated.

And he doesn't seem at all sorry. That's our Boy! Yes, I left in...avert your eyes if you must. LOL

5 songs - 14 minutes

- You Are My Sunshine
- Home on the Range
- Mouse on the Barroom Floor
- Take Me Out to the Ballgame
- How Much is That Doggie in the Window

# 1 Jack Moose Sessions ~ March 27, 2020

No special mic or sound equipment...just me and Jack Moose sharing some tunes. Shot with my Samsung phone.

The banjo was a little loud at first so I stuffed one of Jack's bunny rabbit toys in the back and redid the set. LOL

3 songs - 10 minutes

- She'll Be Comin' Round the Mountain
- Sioux City Sue
- Sacred Small  (Original by Barb)
